PhD. Josep Munuera is a specialist in X-Ray diagnosis, a radiologist since 2005 and doctor cum laude in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, since 2016.

He developed his activity as a neuro-radiologist (EDiNR) at Hospital Vall d'Hebron and Hospital Sant Pau, between 2005 and 2012. Later, he assumed the position of responsible for the area of MRI of the Institute of Diagnostic imaging in the Hospital Germans Tries i Pujol, until year 2016, when he joined as general clinical director of the Institute of Diagnostic imaging. In 2017 he began a new stage as head of service responsible for the area of quality and innovation-research at the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu.

He is the scientific chief of the Spanish Radiology Society (SERAM) and vice president of the Catalan Radiology Society (Radiologists of Catalonia), and has been a consultant to the European Agency of Drugs.

In the field of research and innovation, he leads national and European projects in the field of neuroscience and digital technologies applied to health. He has published several publications in the field of neuroimaging and, recently, in the application of 3D and AI in daily practice.

His specific areas of interest are cerebrovascular pathology and magnetic resonance imaging, as well as medical imaging innovation, especially in the field of Artificial and 3D Intelligence, which includes both clinical implantation, project development, and research in new medical imaging technologies, such as training.

At the teaching level, he is the co-director of the Expert3D Postgraduate accredited by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia () and participates as a professor at the School of Medicine of the UB and various masters (Neuromarketing and Digital Health).
