The Clinical Biochemistry Service specializes in studying the chemical aspects of human life and applying chemical and biochemical methods for the diagnosis, treatment control, research and prevention of an illness. It therefore includes the study of the metabolic and molecular processes involved in both physiological and pathological changes, as well as changes caused by therapeutic applications.
