Specialised Training:

They are an important part of the Service's operation, responsible for care activities, continuously supervised by the Service's attending physicians. R1 and R2 in medical specialties work in the Emergency Department. The teaching staff of the Service have developed:

• A program of weekly sessions throughout the year.
• A scheduling of resident shifts that includes rotation through different first aid units, which, due to their location, handle different types and severity of patients.
• Continuous evaluation. Students are evaluated after rotations, and another evaluation has been incorporated at the end of the year, considering their progress throughout the year.
• The role of the mentor attending physician.
