Functional Unit for Vascular Anomalies

Vascular anomalies (venous malformations, lymphatic, arteriovenous and complex syndromes) comprise a group of complex pathologies that affect the blood and lymphatic vessels, and require a personalized and specialized approach. These lesions require a multidisciplinary approach, because different specialists intervene in both their diagnosis and treatment. Thus, for its diagnosis it is necessary a pathologist with experience in the diagnosis of these lesions, specific immunomarkers; expert radiologists; inventory radiologists; neurologists; vascular surgeons and specialist dermatologists.

The Vascular Anomalies Committee of the Hospital de Sant Pau is made up of a multidisciplinary team of specialists who work together to offer the best treatment to patients with vascular abnormalities. A committee that evaluates and designs treatment strategies adapted to each case, ensuring the best possible care for our patients.
