The mission of the Specialist Hospital Unit (UHE) of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau is to coordinate care for patients with fibromyalgia (FM) and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), in the health department assigned to the Hospital.
The roles of this Unit are to assess and support the primary care teams (PCT) in the diagnosis and treatment process, directly attend to patients referred for diagnostic confirmation and the application of multidisciplinary treatment, and elaborate the periodical monitoring of serious cases that are particularly complex or involve comorbidity.
